Role Masteries

Every tier contains three Universal paths and nine role masteries — twelve armor paths per tier, from Dynasty all the way to God's gear.

Armor Tier Progression

Every tier change goes through the Universal set. The route starts with the Apella set, made from a full S-grade set in the GM Shop; a Tier Upgrade then takes a Universal set to the next tier's Universal set. At any tier, Mastery Upgrade turns the Universal chest into one of the three masteries of its armor type, and Mastery Reset turns it back for free — so a mastery must be reset before the next Tier Upgrade, and can be changed along the way. The system is equipment-driven rather than class-locked.

Heavy Armor

hexagon

Universal Heavy

Balanced Bruiser

Universal

A balanced heavy bruiser path with reliable physical pressure, dependable health, and broad protection.

Ideal for: Players who want the safety of heavy armor without committing fully to tanking, anti-magic defense, or maximum damage.

castle

Juggernaut

Tank

A dedicated frontline wall combining massive health, heavy physical protection, shield synergy, broad weapon resistance, damage and physical-skill reflection, and strong resistance to critical damage and crowd control. It also carries the largest P.Atk bonus of the heavy paths plus extra critical damage, but never gains attack speed, so combat tempo stays deliberately slower.

Ideal for: Tanks, shield users, raid soaking, and players who want to anchor the front line.

shield_moon

Spellbreaker

Anti-Magic Tank

An anti-magic fortress built to walk directly into caster pressure, combining heavy health with M.Def, elemental resistance, reduced magic critical damage taken, debuff resilience, a chance to make hostile spells fail, and magic reflection, while keeping useful physical offense and attack speed.

Ideal for: Anti-mage tanks, initiators, and PvP frontliners facing control-heavy teams.

swords

Slayer

Melee DPS

Heavy armor turned into an offensive weapon: fast physical combat, stronger physical skills, the highest critical damage of the heavy paths, extra accuracy and run speed, stun resistance, and vampiric sustain, while giving up most of the specialized protection found on the other heavy paths.

Ideal for: Melee damage dealers who want heavy armor without playing like a traditional tank.

sprint

Light Armor

hexagon

Universal Light

Physical All-Rounder

Universal

A flexible physical all-rounder with combat speed, critical potential, mobility, evasion, and more forgiving survivability.

Ideal for: Hybrid physical builds and players who do not want their equipment tied to one weapon style.

target

Bowmaster

Ranged DPS

A dedicated ranged hunter that improves bow damage, firing speed, bow skill reuse, effective range, accuracy, movement, bow vampiric (5% at Dynasty up to 15% at God's), and resistance to paralysis and derangement. It also raises the physical critical rate ceiling from the server default of 550 to 650 at Dynasty, climbing by 25 per tier to 750 at God's — the main reason the branch matters for a fully buffed archer.

Ideal for: Archers who rely on kiting, precision, and sustained pressure from a distance.

visibility_off

Assassin

Positional Burst

A highly mobile positional-burst path that accelerates attacks and physical skill cycling, reduces skill MP cost, adds blow damage that grows from the front to the side to the back, and raises the lethal strike chance of daggers and dual daggers — strongly against monsters, slightly against players. The set no longer adds blow chance; evasion, speed, debuff resistance, spell evasion, and reduced critical damage taken keep it alive.

Ideal for: Dagger and dual-dagger specialists who value high mobility, evasion, and debuff resistance.

local_fire_department

Berserker

High-Risk Carry

A high-risk melee carry built on rapid attacks, critical rate and critical damage, life drain, and strong mobility. Below 35% HP the set surges — more P.Atk, attack speed, and critical damage plus a higher critical rate ceiling — in exchange for lower durability and greater vulnerability to debuffs. The old 65% HP step is gone; 35% is the only threshold.

Ideal for: Aggressive players who are willing to trade safety for escalating damage.

Robe Armor

hexagon

Universal Robe

Balanced Caster

Universal

A balanced caster path with magical power, casting speed, faster spell recovery, useful durability, and a healthy resource pool.

Ideal for: Flexible mage and support builds that do not want to specialize too narrowly.

bolt

Arcanist

Critical Caster

A rapid-fire critical caster emphasizing very fast casting, quick spell recovery, frequent magical critical hits with a raised magic critical ceiling, M.Atk that grows with every tier, resistance to disruption, and reduced critical damage taken.

Ideal for: Active nukers and critical-focused mages who value speed over maximum single-cast impact.

dark_mode

Invoker

Offensive Caster

A high-impact offensive caster and debuffer with the largest M.Atk bonus of any path, heavier magical criticals, better debuff landing, and extra cast range, trading some casting speed for greater impact from every successful cast.

Ideal for: Nukers, curse users, and offensive control builds.

favorite

Oracle

Healer / Support

The dedicated healer and support mastery, offering stronger healing, the fastest casting of the robe paths, rapid skill recovery, lower MP costs, extra cast range, large health and mana reserves, and heavy protection against critical hits, magic criticals, stuns, bows, and daggers. It also hits back: some M.Atk, frequent magical criticals, and an extra 10% PvE magic damage over the other robe paths.

Ideal for: Healers, buffers, and battle-support players who must survive long fights.

Mastery Rules

  • Masteries are equipment passives, not learned class skills.
  • A matching five-piece set is required to activate the passive.
  • The chest selects the mastery; legs, helmet, gloves, and boots are shared within the same armor type.
  • The route starts in the GM Shop: a full S-grade set (Imperial Crusader, Draconic Leather, or Major Arcana) plus Adena and Farm Coins becomes the matching Apella (Farm) set, and the Universal Dynasty set is crafted from Apella.
  • Tier Upgrade only takes a full Universal set to the next tier's Universal set: Apella → Dynasty → Zariche → Valakas → Cursed → God's. A mastery chest is not accepted — reset it to Universal first.
  • Mastery Upgrade turns a Universal chest into one of the three masteries of its armor type for an extra material cost that rises with the tier.
  • Mastery Reset turns a mastery chest back into the Universal chest of the same tier for free — it is also the way to switch to a different mastery.
  • Mastery Upgrade and Mastery Reset keep the chest's enchant level and augment.
  • Tier Upgrades up to Cursed hand out a +0 set. Only the Cursed → God's upgrade keeps enchant and augment, and there every piece must have the same enchant level as the chest.
  • Every tier NPC offers Armor (Tier Upgrade), Mastery Upgrade, and Mastery Reset. Unequip the pieces first — equipped items are not listed.
  • Heavy, light, and robe cannot be exchanged for one another; changing armor type means building a new set. The old Armor Exchange has been removed.
  • Universal is a full progression path for Heavy, Light, and Robe users, and the hub every tier change goes through.
  • Every set adds PvE damage and PvP physical defense by tier: +20/25/35/45/55% PvE damage and +10/20/30/40/50% PvP P.Def and P.Skill Def from Dynasty to God's. Oracle adds another 10% PvE damage at every tier.
  • The system is gear-driven and not hard-locked to a class.
  • Bowmaster's main offense is bow-specific, while Assassin's lethal interaction is dagger and dual-dagger specific.
  • Critical ceilings: Bowmaster raises the physical critical rate cap from 550 to 650 at Dynasty and by 25 more per tier up to 750 at God's; Berserker raises it by 50 to 150 while below 35% HP; Arcanist raises the magic critical cap by 50 to 250 and Oracle by 100.
  • Shields progress separately and are not part of the five-piece mastery requirement.
